Honest, up front
Some stones genuinely need surgery — and we will tell you
Not every stone can or should be managed with Ayurveda. Depending on its size and position, a stone may genuinely need surgical or urological intervention — and delaying that can be harmful. Dr. Chaitanya Gupta assesses each case honestly, and where a urologist or a procedure is the right answer, he says so plainly and helps you get there rather than starting treatment unlikely to help.
We make no promises to dissolve stones. Ayurvedic care here focuses on comfort, urinary health and supportive measures for suitable cases — always alongside proper imaging and, where needed, a specialist's opinion.
Stones, urinary infections and prostate or urethral trouble are common, uncomfortable, and sometimes urgent. Ayurveda has a long tradition of supportive care for the urinary system (Mutravaha Srotas), working on hydration, the doshas and the tissues involved — but it is at its most useful when combined with honest assessment and, where required, modern urology.
At Ayurveda Gokulam, every case starts with an in-person consultation and, where relevant, a look at your reports. The aim is supportive relief and better urinary health for suitable cases — never a claim that avoids the surgical or specialist care some conditions clearly need.
Ayurvedic support for kidney stones
Kidney stones (Mutrashmari) can cause severe loin pain, blood in the urine, nausea and difficulty passing urine. In Ayurveda they are linked to aggravated doshas and concentrated urine, and supportive care focuses on hydration, easing discomfort and general urinary health for suitable, smaller stones.
Size and position decide everything. Small stones may be managed supportively and conservatively; larger or obstructing stones, or a stone causing infection or blocked drainage, need urological treatment — and we will say so. We do not promise to dissolve stones or that they will pass. What you get here is honest assessment, supportive care where appropriate, and a straight referral when a procedure is the safer route.
A stone causing severe pain, fever, vomiting, or reduced urine output is a medical emergency — seek urgent medical care rather than waiting.
Ayurvedic support for gall stones
Gallstones may sit silently for years or cause pain in the right upper abdomen, especially after fatty meals, along with bloating or nausea. Ayurveda approaches the picture through liver and digestive support and dietary change, aiming to ease symptoms in suitable cases.
Here too, honesty leads. Gallstones causing repeated pain, inflammation or obstruction usually need a surgical opinion, and Ayurvedic care is not a substitute for that assessment. We do not claim to dissolve gallstones. For quieter cases we offer supportive digestive care and lifestyle guidance, while making clear when a surgeon should be involved.
Ayurvedic support for urinary tract infections (UTI)
Burning urination, frequency, urgency and lower-abdominal discomfort are the everyday signs of a urinary tract infection (Mutrakricchra). Ayurveda uses cooling, soothing and diuretic herbal support along with hydration and hygiene guidance to ease symptoms and support recovery, and can help where infections tend to recur.
Infections still need respect. A UTI with fever, back pain, or blood in the urine, or one that is not settling, may point to a kidney involvement that needs prompt medical treatment — and we will direct you there. Supportive Ayurvedic care sits alongside that, not instead of it.
Ayurvedic support for urethral stricture
A urethral stricture is a narrowing of the urethra that can make the urine stream weak, split or slow, with straining and incomplete emptying. Classical Ayurveda describes Uttar Basti — a specialised medicated instillation — among its supportive measures for such urethral and urinary conditions.
Strictures vary widely, and some need urological procedures such as dilatation or surgery. Dr. Chaitanya Gupta assesses the picture honestly, offers Uttar Basti and supportive care where it is genuinely suitable, and refers to a urologist when that is the better path — never over-promising on a condition that is often mechanical.
Ayurvedic prostate health support
As men age, an enlarging prostate can bring a weak stream, frequent night-time urination, urgency and a sense of incomplete emptying. Ayurveda offers supportive care for prostate health — herbal support, Uttar Basti in suitable cases, and lifestyle guidance — framed as symptom support rather than a cure for prostate enlargement.
Prostate symptoms should always be assessed properly, partly to rule out other causes. Dr. Chaitanya Gupta keeps this honest: supportive care for comfort and daily function where appropriate, and a urology referral when the degree of enlargement, retention or other findings call for it.
