Ayurvedic Ano-rectal Care in Indore
Private, discreet Ayurvedic care for ano-rectal conditions such as anal fistula and pilonidal sinus — assessed and supervised by Dr. Chaitanya Gupta, with honest guidance on when surgery is the right call.
- Private & discreet
- Doctor-supervised
- Honest about surgery
Ano-rectal problems are common, uncomfortable and — for many people — embarrassing to talk about. There is nothing to be ashamed of, and no reason to keep living with pain, discharge or a recurring swelling. Ayurveda has a long para-surgical tradition, described in the Sushruta Samhita, for exactly these conditions.
At Ayurveda Gokulam, Dr. Chaitanya Gupta assesses each case in a private, unhurried consultation, explains what is realistically possible, and is honest about when a surgical opinion is the right path. Where classical para-surgical procedures such as Agnikarma or Viddha Karma are indicated, they are advised only after examination.
Private & discreet. Consultations for ano-rectal conditions are handled privately and discreetly. Your visit, history and treatment stay confidential — you can speak openly and be examined with dignity and care.
Anal fistula (Bhagandara)
An anal fistula is a small abnormal tunnel that forms between the anal canal and the skin near the anus, usually after an infected gland or abscess. It typically causes recurring discharge, discomfort, and a persistent opening that will not heal on its own — and it tends to come back if not managed properly.
Ayurveda describes this as Bhagandara and has a classical para-surgical tradition for it, using Kshara (medicated caustic) techniques. Dr. Chaitanya Gupta assesses the tract carefully and explains the options honestly — including when a surgical referral is the wiser, safer choice. Ano-rectal fistula is not a condition to self-treat or delay.
Pilonidal sinus
A pilonidal sinus is a small cavity or tunnel in the skin, usually at the top of the buttock cleft, that can trap hair and debris and become painful, swollen or infected, often with discharge. It frequently recurs, which is why it needs proper assessment rather than repeated short-term fixes.
Ayurvedic para-surgical care approaches a pilonidal sinus much as it does a fistulous tract, with Kshara-based techniques where suitable. The condition is examined in person, the realistic options are explained plainly, and an honest surgical referral is made when that is genuinely the better route — never a course of treatment that is unlikely to help.

Honest expectations
What this care can — and cannot — do
- Ano-rectal conditions are assessed in person first — this is care to be supervised by a doctor, never self-treated or delayed.
- Ayurvedic para-surgical care is offered as management, with honest limits; it is not framed as a promise of complete recovery.
- Where a surgical opinion is the safer or better route, Dr. Chaitanya Gupta will tell you plainly and guide the referral, rather than start treatment unlikely to help.
- Consultations are private and discreet, with your dignity and confidentiality protected throughout.
