Ayurvedic Care for Digestive & Liver Health in Indore
Doctor-supervised Ayurvedic care for everyday digestive complaints and liver health in Indore — starting from your Agni (digestive fire) and daily habits, with honest, compliant guidance.
- Root-cause approach
- Doctor-supervised
- Works alongside your medical care
Ayurveda places digestion at the centre of health. When Agni — the digestive fire — is weak or disturbed, the result is acidity, gas, irregular bowels and the slow build-up of Ama (metabolic residue) that underlies many longer-term complaints. So the approach here starts with how you digest, not just the symptom of the day.
Dr. Chaitanya Gupta assesses your digestion, diet and routine, then combines internal medicines, targeted Panchakarma therapies where indicated, and practical food and lifestyle correction. For anything involving the liver, the framing is careful and honest — supportive care alongside your medical treatment, never a replacement for it.
Acidity & heartburn (Amlapitta)
Acidity, heartburn and sour reflux — worse after spicy or irregular meals, stress or late nights — are known in Ayurveda as Amlapitta, an aggravation of Pitta in the digestive tract. Reaching for antacids helps briefly but rarely settles the pattern.
Care combines Pitta-pacifying internal medicines with a cooling, regular diet and routine correction to calm the burning and reduce how often it flares. The aim is steady relief by settling the digestion behind it, not just neutralising acid for an hour.
Constipation (Vibandha)
Chronic constipation — hard, infrequent or incomplete motions, often with bloating and straining — is a Vata-driven disturbance of the bowel in Ayurveda, and a common driver of piles, fissures and general discomfort.
Alongside internal medicines and a fibre- and routine-focused diet, Basti (medicated enema) is Ayurveda's cornerstone therapy for Vata and the bowel, used where the physician judges it appropriate. The goal is comfortable, regular movement and breaking the strain-and-recur cycle.
Irritable bowel syndrome (Grahani)
IBS brings alternating loose and hard motions, urgency, cramping and bloating, often flaring with stress or particular foods, while investigations stay normal. Ayurveda maps this closely to Grahani, a disorder of the gut and its Agni.
The approach works on rebuilding steady digestion with internal medicines, an individualised diet, and attention to the stress and routine that trigger flares — Shirodhara is sometimes added where stress is a strong driver. The realistic aim is fewer, milder flares and more predictable digestion.
Excess gas & flatulence
Persistent gas, rumbling and flatulence usually point to weak or irregular digestion producing wind in the gut — an Agni and Vata issue in Ayurvedic terms — and often travel together with bloating and discomfort.
Care focuses on strengthening digestion with internal medicines and correcting the meal habits and food combinations that generate gas, so the gut settles rather than being repeatedly deflated. Simple, sustainable changes usually do much of the work.
Bloating & abdominal heaviness (Adhmana)
A tight, distended, heavy abdomen after meals — Adhmana in Ayurveda — reflects sluggish digestion and accumulating Ama and wind, and can make even small meals uncomfortable.
Treatment lightens and rekindles digestion through internal medicines, a simpler eating pattern and routine correction, with Panchakarma therapies where a deeper clearance is indicated. The aim is a lighter, more comfortable gut and steadier appetite.
Gastric ulcers & gastritis
Gastric ulcers and gastritis cause burning or gnawing upper-abdominal pain, nausea and discomfort that food can briefly ease or worsen. In Ayurveda this is a more advanced Pitta condition of the stomach lining that needs careful, gentle handling.
Ayurvedic care uses soothing, Pitta-pacifying internal medicines and a bland, regular, trigger-avoiding diet to calm the lining and support healing. Because ulcers can be serious, this is done under supervision and alongside any medical investigation and treatment your doctor advises.
Ulcers can bleed or point to something that needs medical investigation. Ayurvedic care here supports — and never replaces — the tests and treatment your physician recommends.
Fatty liver
Fatty liver — a build-up of fat in the liver, often linked to diet, weight, sugar and a sedentary routine — is usually silent early on but matters for long-term health. Ayurveda relates it to disturbed fat metabolism and sluggish liver function (Yakrit).
The Ayurvedic approach is largely about correcting the causes: a lightening, liver-supportive diet, internal medicines, and movement and lifestyle change, with Panchakarma where indicated. Managed early and consistently, it is one of the more responsive conditions in this group — alongside the monitoring your doctor advises.
Hepatitis — supportive Ayurvedic care
Hepatitis is inflammation of the liver, most often from a viral infection or other medical cause, and it requires proper medical diagnosis, monitoring and treatment. This section is about supportive care only — it does not claim to treat or resolve hepatitis.
Where a person is already under medical care for hepatitis, Ayurveda can offer supportive help for general strength, appetite and digestion through a gentle liver-supportive diet and carefully chosen internal medicines. It is always framed as support alongside your treating doctor, and we encourage you to stay under their monitoring throughout.
Hepatitis must be diagnosed and treated medically. Any Ayurvedic support here runs strictly alongside your physician's treatment — never as a substitute for it, and never as a claim to resolve the infection.

Honest expectations
What this care can — and cannot — do
- Ayurvedic care here is offered as relief and management of digestive complaints — settling the pattern behind them, not a one-time or promised fix.
- Diet and routine are central, not optional: the results depend a great deal on the changes you make alongside the medicines.
- Liver conditions, ulcers and anything with warning signs are handled alongside medical investigation and treatment — Ayurveda supports, it does not replace them.
- Hepatitis is supported only alongside your treating doctor; it is never framed as something Ayurveda treats or resolves.
